Sisters of Saint Mary (St. Louis, Missouri)

Founded:    1872 by Mother Mary Odilia and companions.  United with the Sisters of St. Francis of Maryville, Missouri in 1987 to become the Franciscan Sisters of Mary

Purposes:   Primarily nursing and allied tasks such as pharmacy, laboratory work and various therapies.

Habit:   A black habit, crucific, Rosary of the Seven Joys suspended from a red wool cincture and a gold ring (Source 1, page 177).
